a low hanging air marks the fleeting moments of a beautiful snowfall, swan song of a momentary white flurry. wind-blown pale sheet, flirting with the melancholic winter landscape, escaping away, retreating to lonely night of frozen tears caught in a hastened resignation. night’s recollection of the bitter cold exposes its fragility to the arrival of inactivity, its gentle blanket of snow tucked away as a memory to be recalled and forgotten. a barren tree whistles to the wind, awakening a snowy souvenir from its empty branches, an artifact shaken loose of its perch and flitting silently across the frigid air. a snowflake
